Is it possible to objective about a book written by someone you live with? I don't know. Is it possible to be completely objective about any book? Or are we always slightly influenced by the cover or the quotes or the sex of the author? I don't know that either. What I can tell you is that everybody who has read this book so far thinks it is absolutely amazing. They also say that they thought they wouldn't like it because it was told entirely by a pet Labrador. Indeed, I had the same reservations. When Matt told me the idea I thought he'd been taking drugs. But when I read it I completely forgot it was Matt writing and believed completely in the character of Prince. Ultimately this is the story of humans though, not dogs, and looks at how ordinary families struggle to stay together and resist outside temptations. This is a brilliant book. And you can call me biased if you want, but I have been bored out of my brain by some of the non-fiction books Matt has written before and have never been too scared to tell him. Anyway, judge for
yourself by visiting his site at www.matthaig.com.
